[vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1644517478933{padding-top: 40px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text]Ten years ago Chrissy was addicted to ‘tik’. She lived a destructive life that caused her to lose her job, her 3 children and her values. Living on the streets, her only concern was getting her next fix.
Chrissy says: “Then my heavenly Father came along and said ‘enough is enough my child’. God sent people who were willing to walk a journey with me”.
In January 2012 Chrissy started her journey to recovery on the U-turn Life Change programme. Chrissy was promoted to Store Manager at U-turn shop, and today she is a Manager.
Chrissy says one of her most memorable experiences on the U-turn Life Change programme was the help and support she received from the occupational therapists.
Today, Chrissy’s life has been restored. She is sober, independent, employed and reunited with her children.
Chrissy would like to thank all the parties who walked a journey of change with her, namely U-turn, Living Hope, Common Ground Church Wynberg, her children, special friends and family members who believed that she could change and prayed for her. She is grateful for her mentors and those that showed her a positive lifestyle.
She would like to encourage those still trapped in addiction to seek help and for them to know that there is hope. They should keep on praying and believing that they can change. They should take it one day at a time and never give up because our God is good and faithful.
“Today I want to give God all the glory for my life, for bringing me out of a life of hopelessness to hope and darkness to light. I am grateful for 10 years being clean from drug abuse.”

Chrissy, you are my pride and joy! I praise God for you, for he rescues, as he rescued me too.
