[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]To celebrate Mandela Day this year, U-turn staff created campaign that was designed to shift the focus from the traditional sandwiching-making, and ensure that the time and passion given by the people supporting the campaign resulted in long term, lasting change.

The Mandela Day Clothing Drive saw over 30 companies, schools and churches taking part and we raised over 2 tonnes of clothing, which goes to directly fuelling a successful rehabilitation and skills development programme for people leaving addiction and living on the streets behind them.

In recognition of the achievement, First Rand Bank and “Beyond Painting Classrooms” awarded the initiative for Inspiring Leadership. While U-turn was honoured to receive the award, this award belongs to you, the people who took part in the day and helped to make it a day to remember. Each one of you are inspiring leadership, inspiring others to think like a leader, to think strategically about how to best use time and resources for maximum impact.
